Practice History

After leaving the Navy in 1979, Dr. Best opened Tidewater Nephrology for the practice of nephrology and internal medicine. The practice has grown over the years, enjoying a wide referral base from other physicians as well as word-of-mouth from patients and their families. The addition of a Physician Assistant has allowed more flexible scheduling to accommodate both new patients and patients returning for ongoing care. The addition of Dr. Hussein further extends our services and availability.

Experienced in treating multiple medical problems including, but not limited to, diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and cholesterol management. We work closely with you and your other physicians, or refer you to other specialists as needed.
